1. Morning order at Starbucks?
Grande latte with cinnamon and nutmeg.
2. The one piece of "street to stable" apparel you can't live without?
Love myself some transitional wardrobe! Our customized Kora microfleece lined warm-up "RIDE" jackets (made by For Horses)- I wear mine to the barn, to the gym and around town..It's the perfect weight and fabric!
3. If you could go anywhere, where would it be?
On the back of a horse riding the trails of North Salem in an area called "The Racetrack." It's beautiful there with a lot of natural obstacles and fields to canter through, plus amazing mountaintop views of the pastoral countryside- it's my happy place!
4. Favorite horse show of the year?
The one I'm most looking forward to at the moment is Old Salem Farm's May shows. The management at Old Salem is amazing and nothing is overlooked. They run a first rate show from stabling, to running the rings to vendor and exhibitor experience- and it's one of the prettiest barns in the country. I'm also super excited about Stadium Jumping's Wellington Masters happening now at the Jacob's private farm in Wellington and I hope to be there next year.
5. What saddle do you ride in?
Hermes, of course! That still hasn't changed. If I were to ever buy another saddle, I also love the Antares, Butet, Childeric and Devocoux. When it comes to saddles, French are the best!
6. What do you do in your downtime?
There's not much of that. I have a new business so even time at home is usually spent doing something or another for the business. When I get the chance, one of my favorite things to do is curl up in front of the fireplace with my pups on the couch next to me and watch a movie. I also enjoy walking my dogs around the lake in my neighborhood and enjoying nature.
7. Helmet exterior preference- texture or smooth?
I prefer the Alcantara (all weather synthetic fabric that gives a sueded look) Premium Helmets from Samshield because they are the most versatile and can take you from the equitation to the hunter ring to the jumper. It’s personal preference, but I feel the smooth Shadowmatt is a little too techy looking for the hunter/eq rings.
Also obsessed with the new mat carbon fiber from Samshield (a smooth look) for jumpers, especially on male riders.
