2.) EQUESTRIAN ICONS:
3 of Gucci’s iconic trademarks are deeply inspired by the elegance and tradition of the equestrian world:
- Red & Green Stripe: First used in the 1950’s and Inspired by canvas girths, this bold color combination is a finishing detail on a broad range of products from handbags to loafers.
- Horse Bit: Debuting in 1953, the horse bit loafer is one of Gucci’s most recognizable items. Today, the horse bit is integrated into the design of footwear, jewelry and handbags.
- Spur/Stirrup: Gucci calls this hardware a stirrup, but it reminds me of a spur. Definitely equestrian inspired, the subtle detail of this hardware makes for a wonderful trim on many of the brand's accessories.

{My Gucci Style}
My style and budget dictate timeless investments that are constructed from exceptional quality materials. While I typically don’t gravitate towards any pieces with logo designs, I have found that the classic look of Gucci, coupled with equestrian hardware, is a perfect additional to my wardrobe, with or without the interlocking "G"'s.
Clockwise from upper left. 1) Stirrup belt (I call it my “spur” belt) 2) Gucci tote with stirrup detail on handle. Due to its durability, neutral color and medium size (holds a laptop), this tote gives me a polished look at both horse shows and business meetings 3) My typical all black wardrobe is brightened with the vibrant colors from my web girth purse 4) Stirrup belt and tote coupled with Katharine Page "Fairfield" sandals and Alessandro Albanese linen shirt 5) Vintage dark brown suede Gucci “interlocking GG” belt paired with Tailored Sportsman breeches and brown leather Converse
