As the summer ends and the fall begins, much excitement and transition always occurs around the stable. Many championships occur, junior riders prepare to leave for college and new horses arrive as owners relocate. Acknowledging the significance of these events can be a challenge, but if one keeps in mind everyones’ commonality- the horse- then the perfect gift may be shared.
A fan of the written word, I was recently introduced to Felix Doolittle extraordinary papers. The extensive portfolio of this artisan studio includes many personalized items including canning labels to identify homemade culinary items and elegant calling cards.
Inspired by French patisseries in both presentation and name, I have discovered and adapted a very simple recipe that I call “Biscuit De Cheval” or “horse cookie”. The studio at Felix Doolittle specially created the culinary labels that I use to personalize each gift I prepare in my kitchen. Felix Doolittle also designed calling cards so that my contact information may be included with each gift- a lovely touch especially for new additions to the barn. The result is a thoughtful present that is intended to be appreciated and enjoyed!
Salut!
